In HBO Max, do one of the following:
- Phone, tablet, or computer: Choose your profile and then Subscription.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon and then Subscription.
  (Only Adult profiles can manage subscriptions.)

Your subscription automatically renews on your next billing date. Here's how to find your next billing date:

Things to know

Your HBO Max subscription automatically renews until you cancel it.
Deleting the HBO Max app does not cancel your subscription.
Cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before your next billing date to avoid further charges.

Here's how to cancel your Roku-billed subscription:

Once canceled, you should get an email confirming your cancellation. You can continue streaming until your subscription expires at the end of your billing period. You can resubscribe to HBO Max at any time.

To change your payment method:

Go to my.roku.com/payment/account and sign in to your Roku account.
Update your payment info and choose Save.

You can switch plans on your Roku device. Here's how:

In HBO Max on your Roku device, choose the Settings icon and then Subscription.
Choose Change Your Plan.
Choose a subscription plan and billing period.
Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your new plan change through Roku.

Once your subscription is updated, you should get an email from Roku confirming the change.

When will my plan change take effect?

The effective date depends on the change:

If you change to a lower-priced plan, your plan change will happen on your next billing date.
If you change to a higher-priced plan, your plan change happens immediately. You'll be charged the price difference between plans (plus applicable taxes) and your next billing date will be adjusted.

If you're getting a 'Subscription Paused' message, it may be due to a payment error.

To resume your subscription, update your Roku payment method. Here's how:

Go to my.roku.com/payment/account and sign in to your Roku account.
Update your payment info and choose Save.
