HBO Max Privacy

The HBO Max Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how we use it, and where and how we share it. Our Privacy Policy is available at: HBOMax.com/privacy.

You can manage your privacy and data collection preferences in Settings. Here's how:

We may periodically email you show and movie recommendations, product updates, and special offers. If you don't want to receive these emails, you can turn off Email marketing from HBO Max and affiliates in Settings. For more info, go to HBO Max settings.

You'll still receive service emails to your account (such as when you change your password or sign in on a new device).

App Notifications: You might see pop-up notifications on your phone or tablet about new HBO Max shows and movies, as well as other suggestions or notices. You can turn off App Notifications in App Settings on your phone or tablet.

In-app notifications: You'll find personalized suggestions in the HBO Max mobile app. To review the suggestions, choose the Bell icon in the upper-right corner of HBO Max (phones and tablets only). In-app notifications are only available with Adult profiles.

Here's how to delete your HBO Max account:

Step 1: Cancel your subscription

You'll need to cancel your subscription before you submit a delete request. To find out how to cancel, go to How do I cancel HBO Max? You can continue streaming HBO Max until your subscription expires.

Step 2: Submit a delete request

Once your HBO Max subscription has expired, you can submit a delete request.

Choose a device:

Once you complete these steps, we'll delete your HBO Max account if the account qualifies. The account deletion process usually takes 4 to 5 weeks. You'll receive an email letting you know when your account has been deleted.
